National Sorry Day

Each year on the 26th May, Australians come together to remember and reflect on the impact of the government policy of forcibly removing Indigenous children from their families – the children of the Stolen Generations. This day is called Sorry Day.
Local reconciliation group, Balaangala Community Group, invites you to attend a simple ceremony and tree planting to acknowledge Sorry Day which will be held on Sunday, 26th May at 3.30 – 5.30 pm.
It will be held at the Garden Place, 98 Yoorala St, The Gap (on the grassed area above the SOWN shed).
For information contact Michelle Peile.
