Samford State School enrolment is now based on an Enrolment Management Plan
This plan defines the enrolment boundary and details the process for consideration of "out of catchment" students.  Due to our recent growth this has a significant impact on the available space across the school therefore the enrolment management plan comes into place.  Please refer to our Catchment area page for more details.
Prep 2020 Enrolments
Children born between 1 July 2014 and 30 June 2015 will be eligible to attend Prep in 2020.
The prep ready reckoner tool is available to determine if your child is eligible.

Early entry provisions may apply to those students who are already enrolled in full time education in another state/territory or country.

Enrolment Packages are available from the office or will be sent by mail upon request. Please contact Administration to arrange an appointment if you have any enrolment concerns.

Enrolments Y1 to 6

Year 1 Students: Children enrolling into Year 1 must have turned five on or before December 31 in the year preceding their Year 1 enrolment.

Year 2 - 6 Students: Enrolments for students in Years 2 - 6 can be taken at any time in the school year during office hours (8.00 am - 3.30 pm).

If children are transferring from another State School in Queensland, they are required to bring with them a 'Transfer Form' from the previous school. It is requested that they also bring the most recent Report Card and samples of work such as daily workbooks, which the class teacher will return following perusal.

Evidence of date of birth and Australian residency is required for all enrolments.

Special Needs Students: Children with physical, visual, hearing or intellectual impairments or autism may also apply for admission. Parents of these children are required to discuss the special needs with the Principal at the time of application and present medical and/or other applicable reports. If necessary, enrolment will be deferred until a full assessment of the child’s needs is carried out. Parents are always involved in this process.

Students enrolling from other Queensland State Schools require original official transfer. Students enrolling from Queensland Non-State Schools or Students from other Australian States and Territories require documentation from previous school including recent report. Enrolling students from outside Australia require passport with appropriate visas.
