Samford State School Festival

Saturday 7 September from 10am - 7pm.

Our Story – The 2019 Spring Festival

If you haven’t been to a Samford State School festival, here’s the run down…………..

Parents, Carers and the Community all pitch in to create a fantastic event that everyone enjoys and participates in that raises money to benefit our kids!  The Festival is run by the P&C biennially (every 2 years) and is our major fundraiser.  This year it will be on Saturday the 7th of September from 10am until 7pm.

The Spring Festival is a great day out with loads of rides, a variety of stalls, great entertainment with our kids performing on stage and plenty of yummy food options!

What’s On?

Rides

Ride passes are now available to purchase on QKR!  These are cheaper to pre-purchase now.  Alternatively you can opt to purchase tickets for individual rides as well.  There will be rides suitable for pre-schoolers through to our big kids which include Dodgems, Rock climbing wall, the GIANT slide, a jumping “bow wow” castle and many more!  In addition to our rides, we will also have the Soccer speed test and an inflatable squash court

Donation Based Stalls

We will have Lucky Bags, Cakes, Sweets, Craft, 2nd Books, CDs and DVDs, Bottles, Face Painting and Side show Alley - each of our stalls is managed by amazing volunteer stall holder(s)!  The goodies that are sold at the stall are donated by Parents, Carers, the Community and Sponsors.  For each donation that is made, your child/ren will receive a ticket that is placed into the donation draw for that week.  Each donation week will have a winner for each grade of a $2 Tuckshop voucher, kindly donated by The Three Little Pigs.  In the final week before the Spring Festival, we will put every single ticket into the donation draw and one child per grade has the opportunity to win an All Day Rides Pass!

Entertainment

There will be entertainment on stage all day as many classes will perform a dance, song or act on stage.  Our school choirs and bands will also be performing – what a treat!  Our MC for the day is Julia Baker, the Snake Boss…..be prepared for a great show as she runs our stage and performs a show.

Food & Drinks

Our BBQ will be staffed by our wonderful Samford State School teachers and staff and will be selling a large range of delicious food!  In addition, we will also have our “frivolous” food available, so something for everyone!
