​Your P&C

The P&C is about people just like you – parents, care givers and community minded people working in close co-operation to support the school.  P&Cs work very closely with the school, building a stronger school community where all children benefit.

The P&C is established by the Constitution and is led by an Executive Committee consisting of 5 parent volunteers.

Functions of the P&C

The P&C helps caregivers facilitate the development and further improvement of the School through parent participation. In collaboration with students, school communities and non-government entities, the P&C is committed to  achieving the best educational outcomes for the children of Samford State School.

Structure of the P&C

The P&C is comprised of the executive committee, subcommittees and working parties. 

The Subcommittees operate within the guidelines of the P&C Association and as such, report to the Executive Committee of the P&C.  The Subcommittees consist of a Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary and in some cases part-time and casual staff.  Any funds raised by a subcommittee in excess of working capital are passed to the P&C general account and used to meet the aims and objectives of the P&C Association (which includes the aims and objectives of the subcommittees).

The Subcommittees include:

The Working Parties consist of a group of parent, teachers and community volunteers that meet regularly to provide a particular service to the students and school and/or assist the P&C to raise funds in order to support their particular service.  The Working Parties operate within the guidelines of the P&C Association and report to the Executive Committee.

The Working Parties include:

  • Community Engagement
  • Chaplaincy
  • Music and
  • Community Hall
