Student Absences
To register a student's full day absence, please notify via QParents (preferrred) or phone the school's absence line on (07) 3430 9160 before 9.00 am on the day of absence.
Arriving late
If your child arrives to their classroom after school commences they must collect a late slip from the school office and bring it to their teacher. This complies with the electronic roll marking initiative implemented by the Queensland Government. An afternoon electronic roll marking process is also conducted.
Should your child not be present during electronic roll marking and the absence is not registered with the school office, phone calls will be made to parents/carers.
Leaving early
Parents/carers who need to remove students from the school during school hours are required to follow protocol:
- Proceed to the office and inform admin staff
- Complete register details and receive slip
- Admin staff will call teacher and have your student sent to the office

Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)
If student required care outside school hours, Samford State School P&C operates a wonderful Outside School Hours Care service.
