Choral Program

Every student has the opportunity to be involved in one of our three amazing choirs. Performance opportunities include Soirees, end-of-year concerts, competitions (QYMA, Musicfest), Festivals and assemblies.

Songsters is the choir for any Year 3 student who wants to sing! This is a wonderful introduction to group singing, with students enjoying performing modern music in unison. Walk past a Songsters rehearsal and you'll hear everything from musical theatre medleys to today's hits and everything in between!

Allegro is the choir for our Year 4 students. Students are introduced to singing in harmony; two different groups singing different notes at the same time. They learn a wide range of repertoire and enjoy many performance opportunities throughout the year.

Vivace is the choir for Year 5 and 6 students. This ensemble received the inaugural Harley Mead Encouragement Award in 2015, awarded to a choir who show commitment to creating beautiful music by working together with enthusiasm. This describes Vivace very well. Highlights of their calendar include performing at the Queensland Youth Music Awards and Soirees.

In 2020, Vivace rehearses at 7:30 am Monday mornings in the Music Room. In Term 2, they are rehearsing in the Hall.

Songsters Performance Uniforms

No official performance uniforms are required for Songsters.  Notice re costumes given prior to each performance.
